In the hall of the Crematorium Temple of the Monumental Cemetery there is the work of Maurizio Cattelan "Lullaby", for the "Ninna Nanna" project. Built in 1994, it is made up of the remains of the PAC building, which exploded due to a car bomb in the mafia attack of 27 July 1993, which cost the lives of five people and destroyed the Contemporary Art Pavilion. The rubble subsequently recovered by Cattelan is collected in 40 plastic bags, stacked on two pallets. After the exhibition at the Monumental, until November 6, the work will be donated to the city and will enrich the permanent collection of the Museo del Novecento. The “Ninna Nanna” project was conceived for Artweek 2022, in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, the Museo del Novecento and the Monumental Cemetery.
